ICOO ICOU7GT QuadCore 7" HD-IPS Tablet

Another 7" QuadCore Tablet is soon to arrive on ChinaMID Tablet Market. ICOO ICOU7GT is going to be an Allwinner A31 chipset based Tablet. Allwinner A31 for some of you who don't recognize it yet is a powerful QuadCore ARM Cortex-A7 processor paired with a stunning OctoCore Imagination Tech PowerVR SGX544 graphics and a whooping  2GB of DDR3 RAM which is set to provide exceptional performance especially on Heavy 3D Games while having a power envelope that is very similar to an ordinary DualCore ARM Cortex-A9 based chipset.

Like the other Allwinner A31 based Tablets, ICOO ICOU7GT also lacks a Bluetooth Connectivity. So if Bluetooth is important to you, forget about buying any Allwinner A31 based Tablets. Or you may just simply buy a Bluetooth USB dongle, but that depends if the kernel supports it.

You can Pre-Order the 16GB version of ICOO ICOU7GT QuadCore Tablet at Pandawill.com for a very cheap price of US$169.99 including a world-wide free shipping. It comes with pre-installed JellyBean 4.1.1 Android OS and ofcourse, Google PlayStore and other essential media apps.

ICOU7G Tablet uses an HD Display Screen with a resolution of 1280x800 pixel and with the help of IPS Screen Technology, a very popular hardware feature that offers an incredible wide viewing angles and vivid-bright display, it makes the Tablet perfect for 3D Gaming, HD Movie Playback, and Browsing HD Photos.
Looking at the picture, it seems to have a hardened plastic screen like PiPO U1 is using rather than the very popular scratch resist glass screen that other brands uses. Although hardened plastic are much tougher than glass screen, it doesn't protect the screen from having hair line scratches in due time from everyday use. So a good Screen Protector is necessary here.

On the top bezel of the screen, we'll see the Mono-Firing LoudSpeaker that is probably going to be good enough indoor. I don't expect any miracle on outdoor for this cheap Tablets.
Just above the Speaker is the 0.3MP Front camera that can be use as WebCam for Video Calling.
There are two black dots near to the speaker which I believe is for Proximity Sensor and Light Sensor, such features is usable in some cases like having an app that automatically switches off the screen when a flip cover is closed or just set the Display Brightness at Automatic, sensor will detect the suitable brightness for the Tablet depending on your surrounding.
The shell material uses a combination of plain Aluminium and Plastic without any nasty markings and logo like others have, this is what makes it good looking. It has very nice and clean round edges with Plastic on the top that is very critical to having a good WiFi connection stability. It carries a not so impressive 3300mAh Battery (some says 3600mAh) and is rated to operates maximum of 6hrs depending on use. If we're going to think of its power consumption as RK3066 based Tablets, it could last 3~4hrs on Gaming and 6hrs of Web Browsing and Movie Playback.
Power Button and Volume Rockers are at the side together with the supposed to be SIM slot probably for a 3G version
It offers a complete availability of interface ports like a microUSB port with Host function, microSDCard slot that supports max of 32GB expansion storage, and a microHDMI v1.4 port which has a Full-HD resolution output (some says it can also provides Bluray (4k pixels) Quality output). Still better than nothing.
It has a standard 3.5mm Audio port for headphones and can only be charge using its microUSB port.
5.0MP Rear camera is placed in the corner which can capture HD Videos/Photos with AutoFocus function. Although don't expect quality photos or videos when you're in a slightly darker places or at night as LED Flash is not provided here.

Hyundai T7 QuadCore 7" HD-IPS Tablet

Hyundai is the first to provide a QuadCore 7" Tablet on ChinaMID market with their debut of Hyundai T7 Tablet which really looks like a huge Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone but its not because it lacks Phone function and 2G/3G connectivity. It is using Samsung's Exynos 4412 QuadCore 1.4GHz Cortex-A9 processor with a QuadCore Mali400 graphics. Paired with 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 8GB of Storage with ability to extend upto 32GB using microSDCard, it'll definitely going to kick some 7" DualCore Tablets that are available to market.

Not to mention that it have a built-in Bluetooth Connectivity and A-GPS that is very helpful to most of us. It also have a Dual-Camera with 0.3MP in Front and 2.0MP with LED Flash at the back, quite decent enough for everyday use like video chatting with friends or capturing events or photos of friends. Although the LED Flash won't surely help much on very dark rooms or at night.

It is available at Pandawill.com for a good low price of US$165.99 including a world-wide free shipping.

The screen is a beautiful HD-720p screen with 1280x800 pixel resolution and together with the IPS Technology, it'll surely becomes more beautiful with vivid, crisp colours in a very wide viewing angles. I believe, Hyundai is using the same Scratch Resist/Proof Glass Screen that most of the ChinaMID brands like Ainol are using. It maybe be good enough even without a special screen protector but keep in mind that it is still a breakable glass screen and is not as tough like Gorilla Glass.

There is nothing much else on the front except for the Home Button and 0.3MP Front Facing Camera. It currently runs on IceCreamSandwich 4.0.4 OS but as I read on the information, JellyBean 4.2 OS for this Tablet is on its way and soon to arrive. Hopefully it isn't just a propaganda.

At the back, we have here the 2.0MP Rear Facing Camera and on its side is the LED Flash and Monofiring LoudSpeaker. Very good decision to really copy the Galaxy S3 design, it is considered as one of the sexiest design on Android market and having it on a Tablet will surely makes other people to wonder what the hell Samsung product are you holding at. LoL, guess that won't work as the "Hyundai" brand name is at the back as-well.

On the bottom, there goes the complete Interface ports that a Tablet must have like a micro-USB with Host function, a mini-HDMI or maybe micro-HDMI out which is good, at-least it can be used as Media Player while connected at a much larger TV Panel. A standard 2.5mm Wall Charger port and 3.5mm Audio port is there as-well and ofcourse the microSDCard slot that supports upto 32GB of expansion storage.

The only CONS so far is the Batter Capacity. It has a 3000mAh and is only rated to operate upto 4hrs of Movie Playback and 3D Gaming. However, some device with Exynos 4412 chipset is proven to last longer with a normal Internet Browsing and Audio Playback. Just give me a full 6hrs of Battery Life on Web Browsing and I'll be good on that. But of-course we do hope that some company will copy this design and put a much larger Battery Capacity on it, like for example at-least 4000mAh capacity.

PiPO U3 DualCore 7" 3G IPS Tablet

Another PiPO product with built-in 3G-WCDMA module has been release to market. This time, it's a 7-inch Tablet which has similarity to PiPO U2 Tablet except for 3G module. It is called PiPO U3 which is now available at Pandawill.com for a slightly higher price of US$185.99 including a world-wide free shipping.

I am not sure how this is going to work for PiPO as we all know, there are much better alternative 3G Tablets available at Pandawill.com for the same price like FreeLander PD10 Typhoon that we've featured here before. Although the MediaTek MTK6577 chipset it uses is less powerful than PiPO U3's Rockchip RK3066, the huge 5200mAh Battery Capacity, a built-in A-GPS and native Call&Text feature of FreeLander PD10 Typhoon what makes it above the PiPO U3.

PiPO U3 sports a DualCore 1.6GHz Cortex A9 processor with an excellent QuadCore Mali400 graphics, it has a 1GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB of Storage which is enough to offer such exciting performance we've seen on other Rockchip RK3066 products. It also have a QHD Screen resolution (1024x600) with an IPS Screen Technology that boost the screen's crispness and vividness with a great visibility at such high angles.

It has a single loudspeaker which provides good Sound quality and clarity but is surely not enough to bring excellent output outdoor. It offers all the casual user interface ports like a micro-USB with Host function, a 32GB max. microSDCard expansion slot, and mini-HDMI out that the first PiPO U series product lacks. It runs on latest JellyBean 4.1.1 OS with unique PiPO Tablet UI, very smooth and responsive. A decent WiFi B/G/N connectivity. And of-course, a good Dual Camera availability. Front is 0.3MP which is good enough as a WebCam for video calls and the Rear Camera is a 2.0MP, decent enough for capturing photos outdoor during day.

The only CONS I am seeing is the 3000mAh Battery Capacity which is only rated to last 4hrs of continuous 3G connection usage. Battery Life may vary on WiFi usage, as for my experience PiPO with Rockchip RK3066 chipsets last longer on Internet Browsing using WiFi connection. But it'll definitely not going to be enough for Heavy 3D Gaming. The other CONS is the lack of built-in A-GPS which other competition is ready to offer. It can be useful especially when you travels frequently.

Do not get me wrong, PiPO has been known releasing such great rock-solid and stable products, PiPO U3 will definitely not going to break that. Plus, having a 3G connectivity is always great whenever you're outside a WiFi hotspot zone. It's just, it will be more appealing if it is priced a little bit lower than US$170.00.

ONDA V812 QuadCore 8" IPS Tablet

If you are looking for an excellent iPad Mini alternative with a very competitive  and cheap price tag, you're definitely looking at Onda's newest V812 Tablet. The very first 8" China MID Tablet packed with a powerful QuadCore Cortex A7 processor with an OctoCore PowerVR SGX544 graphics that is similar to latest iPad device. Its very good to see Onda taking the initiative to provide a low cost 8" Tablet powered with the latest Allwinner A31 Chipset is said to improve the Cortex A7 architecture offering a more efficient, more powerful than today's Cortex A9 processors.

Like Onda V972 Tablet, the Onda V812 Tablet also have a huge 2GB of DDR3 RAM and 16GB or Storage plus a capability to add a microSDCard upto 32GB. Having a QuadCore processor, OctoCore graphics and 2GB of RAM will definitely withstand every known heavy Apps and Games created for Android as of today. Users can now simply enjoy the JellyBean 4.1 Android OS's multitasking without worrying to much of resources it needs. However, like other Allwinner A31 Tablets being offered as of now to Market, this Onda V812 lacks Bluetooth Connectivity as-well. You are forced to use BT Dongles if you usually need them.

Pandawill.com is already selling the Onda V812 Tablet for almost half the price of Apple's iPad Mini, you can them them for US$185.99 including a world-wide free shipping.

The screen resolution and front camera placement is absolutely similar to Apple's iPad Mini. It has a screen resolution of 1024x768 pixel good enough for reading ebooks and browsing web, although watching 16:10 or 16:9 HD movies will not fit well on this 4:3 screen. Onda is using the same Glass Screen Ainol and other China MID manufacturer is using, it has the same scratch resist/proof capability like Gorilla Glass screen but is not as hard as latter.

This Tablet is meant to be hold in portrait mode as it was design to it. 0.3MP Front Camera which can be useful for Video Calling is good but not as great as others with 2.0MP and can capture 720p videos.
This is one of the goodness being offered by having an IPS Screen Technology. Users can enjoy wider viewing angle without loosing much images and pictures quality plus it provides vivid and brighter colour rich display to screen. You won't have to max out your display brightness if you're just sitting and browsing the web inside your house or in a restaurant. Also, IPS Screen helps maintain good visibility under the sun when using Tablet outdoor is necessary.

Notice also the thickness and edges are very well designed. Good job to Onda maintaining the Tablet to look elegant.
The Shell case is using full Aluminium Material, something that makes me wonder how would the WiFi Connectivity will perform. Luckily, some early adapters of this Tablet already told us that the WiFi works well with NO to minimal connectivity issue.
Onda V812 has a 4,500mAh Battery Capacity and is said to provide 8hrs of usage, but some report already shown that it could only last 4~5hrs on Web Browsing and 3D Gaming. Not really bad at all.
I don't seems to like what we are seeing here. Both of the Back and Power Button are placed on the bottom near to mini-HDMI, micro-USB port and micro-SDCard slot. NO physical Volume Buttons.
The Rear Facing Camera is a 5.0MP with AutoFocus function Camera which can capture HD Videos and Photos. With LED Flash missing, the Camera is supposed to be good during Daytime or in a well lit room but not in Night or darker room. Anyways, it'll be surely useful to owners having a decent quality camera on the back of their Tablet.

Just above it is the Audio port and next to Audio port is the Monofiring LoudSpeaker which is not available in this picture. The speaker provides decent quality of sounds but cannot be compared to Stereo Speakers performance.

Ainol Novo9 Spark QuadCore 9.7" Retina Display IPS Tablet

Bombarded with so may questions why they opt to choose Actions Semi ATM7029 Chipset which has a decent QuadCore Cortex A9 processor but a so-so Vivante GC1000 graphics like Ainol Novo10 Hero 2 is using, Ainol have come to realize that they must introduce a Tablet that will surely make their fans to rejoice. Ainol Novo9 Spark (or FireWire in Chinese version) is the first Ainol Tablet to sport the becoming popular Allwinner A31 Chipset which offers significant milestone to China MID Tablet industries with its powerful QuadCore Cortex A7 processor that is promised to provide the best power efficiency out of Cortex A7 architecture and a stunning OctoCore (8-Core) PowerVR SGX544 Graphics which blew out every DualCore and QuadCore Mali400 graphics processors offered by RockChip RK3066, AMLogic-8726 M6, and even Exynos 4412 chipsets.

The Allwinner A31 chipset paried with a fast 2GB DDR3 RAM offers a performance that is almost comparable to reigning Nvidia Tegra 3 chipset in most of performance benchmarks. Like mentioned above, the Allwinner A31 chipset is promised to provide and efficient Cortex A7 QuadCore processor with just a power consumption of a Cortex A9 DualCore processors. It runs on the latest and smooth JellyBean 4.1.1 Android OS.

Let's not forget about Novo9 Spark's screen, this is also the first time Ainol have mounted a Retina Display like Apple is using to their latest iPads which offers very vivid and real-life like Photos and Videos, thanks to its high pixel density for a 9.7" screen with the beauteousness of IPS Screen Technology that widens the viewing capability of this Tablet. Having a Retina Display is either an advantage or disadvantage, I myself is not a fan of Retina Display because of my belief; "Higher Resolution = Higher Consumption". But Ainol seems to understand that so they placed a whooping 10,000mAh of Battery Capacity, the largest Capacity we have seen to Ainol or any other China MID brands. Ainol says the Novo9 Spark can last 10-hours of straight usage, but even if it only provide 8-hours or 9 with WiFi is ON, that's already a very competitive Android Tablet to have.

Although there are some slight disadvantage of Ainol Novo9 Spark, all Interface Ports and a WiFi Connectivity is available except for Bluetooth Connectivity is missing as-well like other Allwinner A31 Tablets being offered today. Its still good to see that Ainol includes a miniHDMI out, watching Blue-ray Movies or High-Definition videos on a much larger screen is possible.

You can either place your Pre-Order or wait for the stock arrival of this Tablet at Pandawill.com for a very competitive price of US$247.99 including a world-wide free shipping. If you have questions with regards to availability, feel free to contact their active Online Chat support.
